A car smashed into the front of a house near the A259.

The crash happened yesterday afternoon at 4.10pm in Lower Rock Gardens in Kemp Town, Brighton.

Police and the fire service attended the crash which destroyed the property’s metal railings.

Sussex Police confirmed that no injuries were reported and no arrests made.

The silver Vauxhall was taken away on a recovery lorry at around 5.45pm.

A police spokesman said: “Emergency services called to Lower Rock Gardens at around 4.10pm to reports of car colliding with a property.

“No injuries reported, no arrests.”

A spokeswoman for East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said: “We were called at 4.14pm to reports of a car into a building in Lower Rock Gardens, Brighton.

“Our technical rescue unit helped make the scene safe and worked with the local building control officer before leaving the scene.”
