More than half a dozen fire engines were brought in to help tackle a blaze at a residential property this morning.
Firefighters entered the home in Alma Street, Lancing, while thick smoke could be seen pouring from the upstairs windows.
The call came in at roughly 7am today (June 4) with paramedics and police also responding.

The Argus understands there were nine fire engines on scene at the height of the incident but the response is now being scaled back.
Crew will remain on scene to damp down, said East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service.
This is a separate incident to the fire in Worthing, also reported at 7am this morning.
