People enjoying the sunshine along the coast have been urged to stay safe by the city council.
An amber heat-health alert has been issued for South East England by the UK Health Security Agency, with a warning of a risk to older people due to the warm conditions.
Temperatures over the weekend are expected to reach as high as 27C in Brighton, hotter than Los Angeles, Ibiza and Barcelona.
Brighton and Hove City Council have urged people heading to the seafront to soak up the sunshine to take precautions to enjoy the weather safely.

Councillor Bruno De Oliveira, chairman of the council’s health and wellbeing board, said: “It’s important we all think about what we can do to protect ourselves from the heat and stay safe while we’re out.
“A lot of the advice is common sense - drinking water, closing curtains, wearing sunscreen, staying in the shade and taking care in the sea - but some people may not realise the risks.
“Please check on any friends, family or neighbours who may be more vulnerable to make sure they have the support they need to keep cool and stay safe.”
Brighton is set to miss a series of thunderstorms forecast over the weekend, with the warm weather forecast to continue well into next week.
