Water supply has been restored to many homes in eastern Sussex after an outage due to burst pipes.
Technicians and engineers from South East Water worked overnight to make repairs after a burst water main, causing drinking water storage tanks to run low.
Customers in Newhaven and Peacehaven were affected by the outage as temperatures soared across the region.

Supply began to return in the early hours of the morning and throughout the day, with deliveries of bottled water continuing for vulnerable customers.
A spokesman for South East Water said that the network is still refilling and that a bottled water station at The Hub in Piddinghoe Avenue, Peacehaven, will remain open until 9pm “as a precaution”.
