A man reported missing more than two weeks ago has been found dead.
Police confirmed this evening that a missing 36-year-old from Crowborough, named by police as Thomas, has died near Eastbourne.
It has not been confirmed how he died.
“We’re sorry to update that 36-year-old Thomas, who had been reported missing from Crowborough, has been found deceased in the Eastbourne area,” said a spokesman for Sussex Police.

“His family would like to thank the public for the support and kindness they have shown.
"Our thoughts are with Thomas’ family and friends, and we ask that their privacy is respected at this difficult time."
It follows an appeal for his welfare issued by police of June 13.
