Brighton and Hove City Council has released its weekly list of planning applications, ranging from change of use requests to the demolition and construction of new buildings.

The applications were registered between July 3 and July 9, and include proposals in various areas of the city.

In Central Hove, one plan involves a change of use at a building in Church Road to accommodate a medical practice and office space.

In Goldsmid, there is a request for roof alterations and the addition of dormer windows to a property in Eaton Villas.

Moving to Preston Park, a proposal has been put forward for the construction of a single-storey shed to the front elevation of Bavant Road.

In Regency, the planning applications include the conversion of an office into a residential flat in Union Street, as well as repairs to an existing balcony in Regency Square.

In Kemp Town, there is a request to convert existing HMO accommodations into self-contained flats for individuals with mental health needs.

The buildings in question are located in Dorset Gardens and in Westbourne and Poets' Corner.

Turning to Coldean and Stanmer, a prior notification of demolition has been submitted for a single-storey brick/block building, as well as portable office buildings and precast concrete garage units on Lewes Road.

There is also an application to vary the conditions of a planning permission in relation to the removal of a temporary teaching building at the University of Sussex.

In Goldsmid, a proposal has been made for the removal of an existing extension and the erection of a new one at a property on York Avenue.

The application also includes alterations to the fenestration and the addition of a terraced area and garden room.

In Hangleton and Knoll, a request for the demolition of an existing building and garage and the construction of two semi-detached dwellings has been put forward for Hangleton Road.

In Patcham and Hollingbury, a planning application involves the replacement of fire exit doors and the installation of solar tiles and a mechanical ventilation panel at Place Farm House on Ladies Mile Road.

In Preston Park, a proposal includes the conversion of a basement into habitable space and the installation of a lightwell and window at Compton Road.

In Rottingdean and West Saltdean, one application seeks the demolition of an existing garage and garden shed and the construction of a detached dwelling on Lustrells Crescent, fronting Winton Avenue.
