Three people have been arrested after a reported break-in at a city centre shop.

Police were called to Baker St Bikes in York Place, Brighton, early yesterday morning following the incident.

Passersby saw a shop window smashed and surrounded by police tape.

All three suspects remain in custody.

A police spokeswoman said: “Police were called to an address in York Place, Brighton, at about 4.40am on Thursday, July 13, following reports of a break-in.

“Three people were arrested and remain in custody at this time.”

Founded in 2000, Baker St Bikes services and repairs bikes, as well as stocking a range of road, hybrid and mountain bikes.
