A motorcyclist has died after a crash with a van with the driver arrested for causing death by dangerous driving.
The 25-year-old rider of the motorcycle, from Lavant, near Chichester, was declared dead at the scene of the crash at 10pm on Thursday, June 29.
A 39-year-old woman from Wales has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving. She has been bailed pending further enquiries.
The crash is reported to have taken place on the A272 Petersfield Road near the Junction with Woolbeding Lane.
A Sussex Police spokesman said: “Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a fatal collision near Midhurst.
“The incident involving a van and a motorcycle happened in Petersfield Road near the junction with Woolbeding Lane at about 10pm on Thursday, June 29.

“Tragically, the rider of the motorcycle, a 25-year-old man from Lavant, was declared deceased.
“A 39-year-old woman from Ceredigion, Wales, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving.
“Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with relevant CCTV or dashcam footage of the vehicles in the area to come forward.
