Train services have been disrupted after a points failure has left some lines blocked.
Gatwick Express services are currently suspended after the points failure near Gatwick Airport train station this morning.
Only half of the four available lines can currently run leading to potential cancellations and delays of up to 20 minutes.
A Gatwick Express spokesman said: “A points failure is affected services in both directions between Purley and Gatwick Airport. Network Rail response teams are on site and working to rectify and we will update when we have more information.
“Please allow extra time if you are travelling between Purley and Gatwick Airport this morning.”
To help relieve the situation, Thameslink services heading to and from Brighton and Bedford will stop at additional stations.
Southern rail services between London Victoria and Gatwick Airport have also been suspended.
