As the second weekend of live music at the On The Beach festival is less than a day away, we've put together a gallery of the best pictures from the first weekend.

Big names in electronic music such as Carl Cox, Eric Prydz and Chase and Status took to the stage at the beach festival in front of thousands last weekend.

The light and laser shows could be seen from across the city, illuminating the sky into the night - and this is all set to continue as the second weekend of the festival begins tomorrow.

But not everyone had tickets to watch the festival. Marine Parade overlooking the site was packed with onlookers hoping to catch a glimpse of the DJs from above.

Revellers stood on top of cars and vans on Madeira Drive, and one person even used a ladder against the festival wall to watch on.

The party kicks off again on Friday with Anjunabeach, a chilled-out evening on the beach with dance music act Above and Beyond as the sun sets over the sea.

They will be followed by Sussex's own rock act Royal Blood on Saturday and Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds to close the festival on Sunday.
