Villages in Sussex have been named as the safest places to live in the county as crime figures revealed they had the fewest offences reported in the area.
Willingdon, Jevington and Telscombe are among those with the least crime reported across the county last year.
The statistics show that just under 300 crimes were committed in some areas of the region, making the villages around 60 per cent safer than the rest of the county.
In Willingdon and Jevington, just 206 crimes were reported in 2022, which averages as 27 reports per 1,000 people living in the area.
Similarly, 244 crimes were reported in Westham, while only 268 offences were recorded in Telscombe.
