With regard to the article about the 10,000 under-18s arrested last year (The Argus, June 21), as a country we have been cited by Unicef as having some of the unhappiest children in the world.
Brighton is a city crammed with a high population of those who have alongside a majority of those who have not. About £30 million was allocated to the council this year to spend on young people. It has already been allocated.
The basic negative belief system around our wonderful children and young people in our city needs to be drastically changed.
We need an inner city farm. An education based on life experiences learning through the land. Teaching using cows, sheep, pigs, dogs and most of all horses as tools. An allround curriculum can be taught using animal care. It is working in other parts of the country why not in Brighton?
