Caravans which had been parked with gazebos and a horse on a seaside green have been moved on by police.
The group of roughly 17 caravans had been parked on Goring Greensward over the Bank Holiday weekend. On Tuesday the local council said the group had to move or legal action would be taken.
A West Sussex County Council spokeswoman said on Tuesday: “There are currently 17 caravans parked at this location.
"All have been served with a notice requiring them to vacate the land. Should they fail to do so, court proceedings will proceed. We will continue to monitor the site together with Sussex Police."
