Police chased a gang of jewel thieves after they tried to flee on foot from their getaway car.
Arrests were made after a short chase on foot after thieves fled their getaway car with high-value gold, police said.
A total of three men and two women were arrested after a jewellers was targeted on Thursday afternoon.
It it believed members of the gang distracted staff while others stole gold jewellery described by police as high value.

Sussex Police said the gang fled their getaway car on foot.
A spokesman said police responded to a jewellery theft in Burgess Hill.
"Officers were called to a store in Cyprus Road around 1pm on Thursday (September 7) after a quantity of high-value gold jewellery was stolen by a group of people.
"The suspects fled the scene in a vehicle, which was stopped by police around 1.15pm heading towards Brighton.
"After a short foot chase by officers, five people – two women and three men – were detained and arrested on suspicion of theft.
"They remain in custody at this time."
