Two beloved pet dogs are critically ill at a vets after eating something toxic on a walk.

Cally Wilcock, from Haywards Heath, was walking her dogs Luca and Gaia when they ate something toxic.

The pair were taken to the vets on Friday, September 8, and remain "critically ill" there.

Cally is insured but the vet bills will be around £10,000, she says.

She launched a fundraiser to cover some of the bills.

Writing on her fundraising page, Cally said: "I have had to really swallow my pride here and ask for help from my friends and family.

Luna and Gaia ate something toxic on Friday and remain critically ill at the vets the bill is looking like it will be in the region of £10,000 and while we are insured (and I am currently selling everything I own) it’s not going to be enough.

"If anyone wants to donate anything at all I would be forever beyond grateful."

The target for the fundraiser is set at £2,000. At the time of writing, more than £1,300 had been raised.
