Plans have been submitted for a university building which will help to make Brighton and Hove Albion's new stadium possible.
The University of Brighton has applied for planning permission for a new five storey school of education at its campus in Falmer, Brighton.
The £23million scheme is the latest stage in a redevelopment of the campus which will eventually create space for part of the new football ground, due to be built in a neighbouring field.
Groundworks have already started for the school of education, which is due to open in July 2009.
The site had to be temporarily closed on May 7 after construction workers came across an unexploded Second World War bomb.
Brighton and Hove City Council is expected to make a decision on whether to give the scheme the go ahead by September 22.
