An RNLI team will feature in another episode of BBC’s Saving Lives At Sea next week.
Newhaven RNLI were called to help a kayaker whose fishing expedition took a turn for the worse near the Seven Sisters.
The episode showing the rescue operation will be aired on BBC Two on Thursday, October 5.
The crew in Newhaven have already been called out ten times this month to shouts including a fire with four people and one dog on board, a 25m fishing trawler broken down in the shipping lanes of the Channel, a yacht taking on water with storm damage in the Cuckmere, walkers cut off by the rising tide and a search for a missing swimmer.
Newhaven Lifeboat volunteers will feature again in this new series of Saving Lives At Sea as well as crew members Alex Beckett, James Johnson and coxswain Lewis Arnold.
