A coffee shop which also makes freshly baked pizza has opened its doors.
Couple Negin Hakimmaani and Mahdi Mohammadi, from Hove, moved to the city two years ago from Sweden with the dream of starting their first business.
They have now opened Grind and Slice, a coffee shop which looks to be a little different by making freshly baked pizza.
The shop, in Trafalgar Street, Brighton, sells fresh sandwiches, salads, pizzas, cakes and coffees.

Negin said: “We both love coffee and pizza and in general people like both, so why not do something different? The feedback has been good, people are sometimes surprised when they come in and see we have pizza.
“We’re both really passionate about it and know we have good things to offer people. There is nothing less than perfection. The dough is made fresh every day here.
“Our focaccia sandwiches have been selling out every day.
“We want to be the most affordable coffee shop in North Laine. We want people to be happy to pay for the coffee and food we offer.

"I think in Brighton there are fantastic coffee shops which are great but sometimes the portions are too small or it is expensive.
“We’re trying to be as fair as possible with the prices.”
Negin, 27, and Mahdi, 30, were looking to start a business in Sweden but had their plans curtailed by the pandemic.
They have been looking for months for the right shop and spent one month refurbishing the store before opening on September 28.
“Mahdi has wanted his own coffee shop for years, we have viewed so many shops. I can’t even count”, said Negin.
“We came across this and had lost a bit of hope, it used to be an old tech shop. It was in a bad state but we loved the location.
“We spent one month transforming the inside, Mahdi has worked day and night.
“We love Swedish pizza, it’s famous for kebab pizza. We thought how could we mix the two? Who doesn’t like coffee and a pizza?”
All the shop’s products are freshly made every day.
A ten-inch pizza comes with a Swedish cabbage salad, a refreshing side which is made with vinegar. A soft drink also comes in the £8.99 price.
