On behalf of Cancer Research UK, I would like to thank all the women and girls who took part in our Race for Life event at Stanmer Park, Brighton, on Saturday, June 21, and Sunday, June 22.
The events had such a great atmosphere and I am so pleased that almost 8,000 women from across the city took part. Many were taking part in memory of someone, while others were taking part in celebration of their own lives. I'd also like to express our appreciation to all the supporters and volunteers who helped make the event such a success.
I would now like to encourage all those who took part to return their sponsorship money as soon as possible to ensure the work of the researchers, doctors and nurses that we fund can continue and to help us beat cancer.
Thank you to everyone for such a great weekend.
