A section of the A27 was closed for a second day in a row after another crash on the road.

Part of the major road that cuts through Sussex was closed on Monday evening as emergency services dealt with an incident.

The closure comes a day after a similar part of the A27 near Selmeston was also closed for a separate two-car crash over the weekend.

Sussex Police as well as fire and ambulance crews worked to deal with the crash yesterday evening between Common Lane near Selmeston and the Drusillas roundabout in East Sussex.

The road was closed for some time early on Monday evening.

On Sunday, a two car crash also closed the A27 near Selmeston.

That crash at around 8.30pm on Sunday, October 22, resulted in minor injuries for those involved, Sussex Police confirmed.

The force has also been contacted about the crash on Monday evening.
