Changes to local BBC radio stations have been announced.

The new schedules start from Monday, November 6, due to changes in the BBC’s 39 local stations after cuts which have led to strike action.

Presenter Danny Pike has taken over BBC Radio Sussex’s weekday breakfast slot from Allison Ferns between 6am and 10am.

Allison has moved to the weekend breakfast slot, also from 6am to 10am, across the three stations in the South East: BBC Radio Sussex, Surrey and Kent.

Sarah Gorrell continues on daytimes at both BBC Radio Surrey and BBC Radio Sussex 10am to 2pm.

Adam Dowling hosts the afternoon show across all three stations between 2pm and 6pm.

Connor Moseley who presented evenings during the week for BBC Radio Sussex and Surrey announced that his last shift was on Monday, October 23.

The evening schedules for all three stations are as follows:

  • Local sport - Monday and Friday (6pm-7pm)
  • Monday (7pm-10pm) – Rena Annobil
  • Tuesday (6pm-10pm) - Stephen Brown
  • Wednesday (6pm-9pm) – Stephen Brown;  (9pm-10pm) Out with Kathy Caton
  • Thursday (6pm-8pm) - BBC Upload with Leo Ulph; (8pm-10pm) - BBC Music Introducing with Abbie McCarthy in Kent and Melita Dennett in BBC Sussex and BBC Surrey
  • Friday (7pm-10pm) -  Dan Simpson

The weekend schedules for all three stations are as follows:

  • Daytimes Saturday (10am-2pm) Stephen Brown
  • Daytimes Sunday (10am-2pm) Pat Marsh
  • Saturday Afternoon (2pm-6pm) local sport
