A small coffee shop chain will open two new stores in Sussex.

Trading Post Coffee Roasters, which already has six branches in the county, will open two more this year.

The first takes the place of the former Small Batch Coffee Roasters store on the corner of Norfolk Terrace and Western Road, Brighton, and is due to open in February.

It will be the fifth branch in the city, with others in Stroudley Road, Sydney Street, Ship Street and Kensington Gardens.

Announcing the news on Facebook, a spokeswoman for the company said: "We’ve been brewing up something special over the holidays, and we’re very proud to be able to finally share it with you.

"In early 2024, we will be opening two brand new Trading Post Coffee Roasters.

"Our team has been working diligently to prepare the first site on Western Road, and we can’t wait to open our doors and serve the local community some freshly roasted artisan coffee and brunch."

As well as its Brighton branches, Trading Post has stores in Cliffe High Street, Lewes, and in South Street, Chichester.

The brand also has a coffee van which is usually outside Churchill Square shopping centre.
