A recovering heroin addict has revealed her shock after buying stickers off budget website Temu which made a joke about the drug.
The woman, who asked to remain anonymous, ordered stickers from the online website which has been trending on social media including TikTok and Instagram, to start scrapbooking as a form of therapy.
One of the stickers she received read: “In terms of instant relief, cancelling plans is like heroin”.
The 35-year-old, from Brighton, said seeing it being advertised as a form of relief was “pretty triggering” and wanted the company to remove the stickers from its website.
“I ordered some stickers off Temu to start scrapbooking as a form of almost therapy, to highlight the good things that happen”, she said.
“This has really got my back up because I'm in recovery from heroin. Heroin caused a lot of upset and trauma in my life, so to see it being advertised as a form of relief is pretty triggering.
"I'm three years in recovery from heroin, I got in touch with them and they were so dismissive. They offered a refund, but that's not what I wanted.
"When I looked on the website, it says item discontinued but it also says sold out. I don't know whether it has sold out or they have stopped the stickers now.

“I got in touch with Temu and they offered me an 89p refund for the stickers which isn't what I wanted.
“I just think these big companies don't really care, like who thought putting that on a sticker was a good idea? How did it get passed?
"It's advertising heroin, it's saying the relief someone gets when you cancel a plan is the same relief you get when you take it.
"It's advertising it as a nice thing when it's not, it ruins lives. It's an advert to people in my opinion, that's what got me more upset than anything was the fact it promotes it.
"It brings you back to that time, the people you have lost through it."
Temu was approached for comment but did not respond.
