A group of lifesavers will appear on a hit ITV show.

Volunteers from Selsey’s RNLI lifeboat station will be on Alan Titchmarsh’s Love Your Weekend on Sunday.

A spokesman for the RNLI at Selsey said: “We were lucky enough to welcome the production team to Selsey RNLI on a rather damp day towards the end of last year.

“Thankfully the sea wasn’t too rough so we were able to take them afloat to see the volunteers in action. During the morning the Selsey Shannon class lifeboat launched on a routine training session which consisted of a man overboard drill with a dummy.

“The crew took time to chat through how they save lives at sea and what it’s like to be on call 24/7 for the lifesaving charity.

“Once back on dry land, Selsey RNLI volunteer Craig Sergeant was interviewed about his years of lifesaving, memorable lifesaving calls, and reflected on some of the RNLIs lifesaving history.”

The episode, which airs at from 9.30am on Sunday, is the second in the sixth series.
