A spokeswoman for the lido said: “The Art Deco ballroom and rotunda have been reinstated as a single entertainment space which celebrate the lido's original ocean liner inspired design.

“We offer a unique and spectacular space to celebrate in. We have a wide range of event spaces to accommodate different styles of events for any occasion, parties, meetings, drinks receptions and away days.

“The ballroom and terraces, the rear ballroom, the poolside cafe and the plant room are available to hire for special events throughout the year.”

The lido building is also due to open community rooms, which will be suitable for children’s parties, yoga, dance and fitness classes and meetings.
