Grassroots sports are to get a £10,000 boost.
Mid Sussex is to benefit from a slice of a £93 million nationwide funding initiative by the government.
The aim is to get 3.5 million more people active by 2030, particularly the young.
The money will allow for more than 1,100 grassroots sports projects across the country which includes constructing new pitches, changing rooms and floodlights.
Mims Davies, Mid Sussex MP, welcomed the £10,631 for her area, saying: "There is a clear link between feeling your best, both mentally and physically, and exercising regularly."

The government is also investing in areas that are most in need with at least 50 per cent spent in the most deprived and inactive local authorities.
Sports Minister Stuart Andrew said: "We know that one of the major barriers in getting active is having access to high-quality sports facilities, which is why we are upgrading 1,100 more pitches, backed by investing £93 million."
