A host of famous faces are set to take part in a football match in aid of a hospice charity.

Actors and Albion legends are among the players for Martlets FC who are set to play HPS Newhaven tomorrow night.

The match is raising money to remember a “dear friend and colleague” who spent his final days at the hospice.

Last year £7,000 was raised for the charity through different fundraising projects and they hope to top that figure in 2024.

Among the famous faces listed to play are actor Jamie Kenna, known for Game Of Thrones spin-off House Of The Dragon and Albion hero Kerry Mayo.

The match, organised by plumbers merchants HPS Newhaven, raises money for the Martlets hospice in Hove after former HPS Newhaven manager Matt Reed died from bowel cancer in 2019 aged 38.

The hospice cared for Matt and his family in his final days.

So far more than £1,000 has been raised with plans for raffles and auctions on the night.

The match will kick off at Newhaven Football Club tomorrow, February 2, at 7.30am.
