People have just one day left to cast their votes on the name for a new seafront park.

More than 3,000 people have had their say on the name of the new West Hove seafront park being made as part of the Kingsway to the Sea project.

The public vote was launched in December and closes at 11.59pm on Tuesday, February 6.

Councillor Julie Cattell, lead member for major projects, said: “This project is all about listening.

“There’s still time to have your say as our online poll remains open until just before midnight next Tuesday.”

People can vote online through this link https://www.brighton-hove.gov.uk/city-regeneration/major-developments/kingsway-sea or by searching online for Kingsway to the Sea.

From over 250 name suggestions made by local residents, community groups and through social media, the council selected nine potential names.

The options are:

  • Dean Mahomed Park
  • Hove Beach Park
  • King Alfred Park
  • Kings Park
  • Kingsway Park
  • Mary Clarke Park
  • Sassoon Park
  • West Beach Park
  • West Hove Park
