Products are being loaded onto shelves ahead of the opening of a new B&M next week.

Staff have begun placing a range of goods, including toilet roll, alcohol and candles at the soon-to-open store in the Guildbourne Centre in Worthing.

The home store will be replacing Wilko, which closed towards the end of last year.

The branch of B&M, which will create 75 jobs, will open on February 21 and will be open from 8am to 8pm Monday to Saturday and from 10am to 4pm on Sundays.

Customers can expect to find a wide variety of branded groceries, including a range of food, drink and pet food.

There will also be a selection of quality health and beauty products, homeware, electricals, DIY essentials, toys and games.

Love Island star Amy Hart will open the new discount retailer to customers, alongside representatives from charity Turning Tides, one of the biggest providers of services for single homeless people in West Sussex.

The store manager for the B&M in Worthing said his team cannot wait to welcome customers to the store next week.

He said: “We’re feeling extremely positive about the creation of more jobs for local people and we hope customers are going to be delighted with their new store.

“Turning Tides really stood out for us so we wanted to give them some VIP treatment as a thank you for all the hard work that they have done.

“We hope that our donation can help them to continue the great work they do.”
