A Korean burger restaurant is set to open soon.

Aka Korean Big Burger, coming to Cranbourne Street, near Churchill Square, Brighton, will take the place of a unit left empty after a pop-up bookshop left the site last summer.

The signs are up and the storefront has been painted orange.

A large poster in the window reads “100 per cent handmade Korean Big Burger coming soon.”

The owner Chong Sung Choi, who owns the company Korean Kimchi, applied to Brighton and Hove City Council for a kitchen extract ducting system and an illuminated fascia sign at the unit in September 2022.

Plans for both were approved later that year.

Now, work is underway to make the restaurant ready to welcome diners soon.
