Our European adventure… what a journey, writes Albion fan Josh Beckett.

There were memories made to last a lifetime. Marseille away being 2-0 down was definitely a low point, the thoughts of 'are we good enough?' Was all the money spent on the trips worth it?

Being drowned out by the home fans and feeling helpless in trying to get behind the boys, to then nab a point and feel as if the spark had been ignited.

As for Ajax away, the expectation was high and the expectation was delivered, a convincing 2-0 made the hammering rain just a minor inconvenience.

The feeling of jubilation that we had found our feet on the European stage and that we were going to kick on from there. The city itself was not disappointing and treated us to an unforgettable few days.

Athens away knowing that a win was all we needed, riding our luck for the majority of the first half before Joao Pedro sent us barmy rolling home his penalty.

It was a spectacular few days in the sunshine. Roma away is when we felt it was getting serious, the thought that now ‘this is it’.

We had to deliver. A lovely city treating us to delightful cuisine, accompanied with nerves, excitement and anticipation.

The lowest point of the journey has always been when the third goal went in knowing our journey was agonisingly slipping away into the abyss and all we’d ever dreamt of had been snatched away.

But what a journey it has been and hopefully it won’t be long till our next European tour. Now we have ten Premier League games to make that a reality.
