Residents of a seaside resort stuck up fake signs advertising plans for a fetish parlour with hotel rooms.

The tongue-in-cheek posters promote plans for "the large erection of a fetish parlour with associated gentleman's club and ladies suite with hotel rooms" at 2-4 Waterloo Square in Bognor, which appears to be a residential building.

They are signed by W. Indupp, "group head of parlour planning", and encourage people to contact Arun District Council's "Troll Central, dept of Enjoyment Control".

It is not known who is behind the posters, which were posted near a gap site where a seafront hotel was demolished several years ago.

They read: “The application and other related plans/documents submitted may be inspected/peeped at/drooled over in person by persons over 18 years old only, due to the nature of the planning application.

The Argus: “They may be viewed at The Arun Civic Centre and not Bognor Regis Town Hall because we don’t like the great unwashed public being allowed in there so we closed it.

“Any comments you wish to make must be received only on April 1, 2024. We cannot guarantee that the ‘members’ responsible for leaving the site without planning permission for so long to date will bother even looking at anything sent to them but you can hope."

Bognor Regis Town Council was contacted for comment.
