A business that sells expensive footwear is 'delighted' after winning an award and plans to expand.

OG Kicks, in Bond Street, Brighton, won the expansion and growth category at the South East Federation of Small Businesses Awards 2024.

The sneaker and streetwear retailer was honoured at the event, which was hosted by the Federation of Small Businesses at The Artisan Bakehouse in Ashurst.

The event ceremony was organised to celebrate the achievements of small businesses.

CEO of OG Kicks Ryan Jackson said: "We are delighted to receive this award.

"It recognises the hard work put in by our passionate team, and validates the business as a major player in the sneaker resale business.

"We have several exciting plans to continue to grow OG Kicks, so I believe we are still in the early stages of our exciting journey."

Since launching in 2017, Brighton-based OG Kicks has expanded their brand and now has a store in London. Their trainers sell for upwards of £100. One pair of Nike trainers on their website is priced at £3,140.99, down from £3,489.99

They specialise in selling "highly sought-after sneakers" in both their stores and online.

They opened their first store in Brighton just three weeks before the initial lockdown in 2020.
