The A27 was closed following a crash involving two cars.
The incident happened yesterday afternoon at around 1.30pm on the eastbound side near the Hammerpot roundabout.
It involved a silver Kia and a blue Peugeot 107.
Sussex Police said there were no reported serious injuries and a temporary closure was in place.
The Peugeot came off the road.
