Changes to parking restrictions at four Isle of Wight roads, in Ryde, Newport, Seaview and East Cowes, could be rubber stamped by County Hall.
Consultations have launched over the plans.
At Well Street, Ryde there are proposals for one-hour limited waiting parking bays during the day, outside the new dentist and nursery.
The Isle of Wight Council says the plan allows for visitors to come and go during working hours and for residents to park overnight.

In Carisbrooke, Spring Lane could be closed to vehicles at the ford, to help improve Lukely Brook.
In Seaview High Street, the proposal is for new double yellow lines - creating a ‘no waiting parking restriction,’ to aid traffic flow.
On Church Path, East Cowes, old yellow lines would be made enforceable, with a formal 'no waiting' parking restriction.
