Sea Life staff went out litter picking as part of Earth Day.
A team from the aquarium in Marine Parade, Brighton, went down to the beach early on Monday morning with bags to gather rubbish to "do their bit".
A spokesman said: "Here at Sea Life Brighton we regularly get out on to our local beach to reduce the amount of plastics and rubbish entering our oceans.

"We went out this morning before we opened for our guests with our team members - what a way to start the working day and week."
Earth Day, which is celebrated on April 22, is a reminder "of the importance of environmental conservation and sustainability".
A spokesman for EarthDay.org said its mission is to "raise awareness, inspire change and foster a deeper connection with nature".
The day has been marked since 1970 as a celebration of the earth across the world and the need to protect it.
