Police have released a picture of three children they are searching for after someone was assaulted and a shop damaged.

Sussex Police are appealing for witnesses to find the three children after the incident inside the Co-op in Lintott Square, Southwater, near Horsham, on Thursday afternoon.

Officers say they were called to the store at around 5.30pm following reports of criminal damage and assault.

A force spokeswoman said: "We are appealing for information after police responded to reports of criminal damage and assault inside Co-op in Lintott Square, Southwater, last Thursday, April 18.

"Police would like to speak with three people seen in the image as it is believed they may be able to assist with enquiries.

"They are described as being between nine and 12 years of age, with the first wearing a pink T-shirt and glasses, the second wearing a purple T-shirt, and the third wearing all black.
