A man from Powys accused of sexually assaulting a teenage girl will face trial at the crown court later this year after denying the offence.
Jonjo Evans, 60, pleaded not guilty before a judge at a plea and trial preparation hearing held at Mold Crown Court on Friday, April 26.
The charge of sexually assaulting a female aged 13 and over by penetration without consent is an indictable-only offence, meaning it can only be tried in a crown court.
His Honour Judge Niclas Parry fixed a date for the trial, which is expected to last three days, for Monday, October 7.
Evans, of Penybryn, Llanfyllin, was remanded on conditional bail not to contact the alleged victim by any ways of communication including on social media.
