I MUST admit that Humza wasn’t my first choice during the last SNP leadership election and he had a lot of issues to contend with when he became leader.
However, my support for him rose rapidly when he gave a voice to the voiceless – the civilians in Gaza who were being brutalised and murdered by the occupying Israeli regime.

He was one of the very few Western political leaders who wasn’t silenced by Israel, and one who repeatedly called for a ceasefire and an end to the atrocities and war crimes being committed (and still continuing) by Israel.
I can only hope that whoever takes over as leader of the SNP will carry on Humza’s excellent stance on supporting the oppressed people of Palestine.

Why are you making commenting on The National only available to subscribers?
We know there are thousands of National readers who want to debate, argue and go back and forth in the comments section of our stories. We’ve got the most informed readers in Scotland, asking each other the big questions about the future of our country.
