Parts of Sussex had the highest temperatures in the country this weekend.
Sweltering temperatures across the South Coast saw Herstmonceux in East Sussex record the highest temperature in the UK.
The summery weekend saw thousands flock to Sussex’s coastline.
In Herstmonceux, temperatures peaked at 25.9 degrees Celsius on Saturday. The figures were ahead of Scotland, where the hottest temperature recorded was 25.7 degrees, as well as Wales and Northern Ireland.

The record did not last, however, as temperatures hit 27 degrees in London.
Temperatures are expected to be cooler this week but will remain at around 18 degrees in Brighton.
This week will also bring clouds and rain after the Met Office issued yellow thunderstorm warnings for parts of the UK on Sunday.
