The schedule has been announced for this year's Worthing Festival with music, comedy and family entertainment all in the mix.

More than 100 events will make up the second year of the festival, which is set to run from June 8 to June 23.

There will be music performances over two weekends, art exhibitions, cemetery tours, an 80s party night and more.

The festival first took place in June last year and drew more than 14,000 visitors to Worthing over nine days.

It grew from conversations between Worthing Borough Council and the town’s arts community about celebrating creative talent in the area. The multi-arts festival was then founded by Time For Worthing, the council’s tourism arm.

Councillor Rita Garner, culture and leisure cabinet member for Worthing, said: “It was fantastic to see how well last year's festival was received and this has been great motivation for our team of organisers to put the foundations in place for an equally brilliant celebration of arts and culture to be held this year.

"We'd like to thank everyone who has got involved with the fun and registered an event as part of Worthing Festival 2024. Now we need everyone to come out, support local talent and business and enjoy everything that Worthing has to offer. June can't come soon enough.”
