The warmer weather that summer brings also afford the opportunity for people to select their own delicious fruits and vegetables at pick-your-own (PYO) farms.
There are many to pick from around Sussex, where you can select your own strawberries, raspberries, rhubarb, courgettes and more.
From the likes of Roundstore Farm to Maynards Farm and Sharnfold Farm, you have a few options if you're curious.

Roundstone Farm
Address: Littlehampton Rd, Angmering, Worthing BN12 6PW
Roundstone Farm near Worthing prides itself on growing its fruit and veg "using environmentally friendly methods".
Its website adds: "We provide top quality homegrown fruit and vegetables. The PYO also allows you and your family to enjoy fresh and delicious crops daily, during the summer months."
The crops are accessible by foot or through the Tractor-Train service which circulates the farm regularly dropping you at each crop.
The site will open for PYO on Friday, May 24 this year for strawberries and rhubarb.
Maynards Farm
Address: Windmill Hill/Cross Lane, Wadhurst TN5 7HQ
On its website, Maynards Farm describes itself as "one of the longest established Pick your own fruit farms in the UK".
It offers the opportunity for people to select their own strawberries, blackberries, cherries and more.
Maynards Farm is hoping to open for the summer 2024 season in the second week of June.
Sharnfold Farm
Address: Hailsham Road, Stone Cross, Pevensey BN24 5BU
Sharnfold Farm near Eastbourne offers opportunities for PYO from July to September where you can pick strawberries, blueberries, marrows and more.
Alongside that, it has its own onsite farm shop, cafe, adventure playground and other kids' play areas.
Tibbs Farm
Address: Udimore, Rye TN31 6AR
Tibbs Farm has been running PYO fields for more than 40 years, which starts off with strawberries and gooseberries in June.
