Sussex's newest supermarket swung open its doors today.
The new Lidl store in Worthing’s Downlands Retail Park opened on August 29.
The opening was marked with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 8am attended by the Mayor of Worthing, Councillor Ibsha Choudhury.
James Mitchell, regional head of property at Lidl GB, said: “We have seen demand for our best-value products continue to grow across the country, so we are excited to open our second store in Worthing."
The new store features the bakery along with the “Middle of Lidl” selling miscellaneous items at discounted prices.
It also has customer toilets with baby changing facilities and parking for cars and bicycles.

The new store is set to generate almost half the energy it needs to operate from air-source heat pumps and solar panels on its entrance canopy.
Lidl has another store in the town’s North Street.
Mr Mitchell added: "The new store will not only deliver more high-paying jobs for those living in the area, but it will also provide even better access to our award-winning products. We would like to thank all those who have played a part in delivering this new store."

During the opening weekend, Worthing shoppers can look forward to Lidl Plus offers, complimentary food sampling and deals on selected products from the Middle of Lidl, including a Salter food processor at £12.99, RRP £24.99.
The plans represent a multi-million-pound investment and have created up to 40 new jobs.
Store opening hours will be between 8am and 10pm Monday to Saturday and from 9.30am for browsing on Sunday, with tills open from 10am to 4pm.
