A new jewellery shop will open in a town centre.
Warren James has submitted a planning application to Worthing Borough Council for shopfitting including a new shopfront, security shutter and awning at 74a Montague Street, Worthing.
The unit was previously occupied by clothing shop Yours.
The shop had been put on the market to rent with a price of £38,500 per annum.
Warren James’s first branch opened in Stockport in 1979 by Ann Jones and her brother John Coulter.
The business now has 225 shops across the country.
The new addition to Worthing’s high street is the latest in a series of new launches.
Gail’s bakery is due to open in Warwick Street soon.
The unit was formerly home to MasterChef winner Kenny Tutt’s now-defunct Pitch restaurant, which closed in July last year due to “current economic struggles”.
Japanese/Korean restaurant Kokoro is also planning to open in the former coffee shop Triple Two, also in Warwick Street.
