Two men and an XL bully dog were tasered after properties and a vehicle were damaged.
Police were called to the Maybridge Square area in Goring at 7.30pm on Monday to reports of a group of men damaging properties.
There were also reports of properties and a vehicle being damaged in Roegate Road, Worthing.
Officers located three men who had three dogs with them. The men "failed to comply with directions" and two of them were men tasered to be detained.
An XL bully without a lead or muzzle had to be subdued by police with a taser because it was "displaying aggressive and threatening behaviour". The dog has since been seized.

A 32-year-old man from Worthing was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage, possession of an offensive weapon in a public place and possession of a Class B drug.
A 25-year-old man from Worthing also arrested on suspicion of affray, possessing a Class B drug and aiding/abetting possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.
A third man was arrested on suspicion of affray but has since been de-arrested.
A spokeswoman for Sussex Police said: “We are investigating the circumstances of the incident and ask that anyone who witnessed what happened, has footage or information to contact police online or by calling 101 quoting reference 1188 of 02/09.”
