An award-winning seafront hotel is up for sale for £2,595,000.
The Port Hotel is a restored Victorian townhouse with 19 bedrooms, a restaurant and a cocktail bar on Eastbourne seafront. The boutique hotel recently won Tripadvisor’s Travellers Choice Award for 2024, has featured in Condé Nast Traveller and took a spot in The Sunday Times’ Top 100 Best British Hotels.
Now the hotel has landed on the market, valued at £2,595,000. Described on Rightmove as somewhere which “offers a unique blend of modern luxury and classic charm”, the hotel caused something of a stir amongst locals when it opened its doors in May 2021. The cause of consternation was the newly painted black exterior which cut ties with the otherwise pastel-coloured seafront.
The hotel’s gothic exterior is juxtaposed with a Scandi aesthetic for its interior with a subtle palette of green, pink and cream hues.
The advert says that the business operates “extremely well” and is the “epitome of a ‘turn-key’ operation”.
