A knifeman attempted to rob a teenage girl.
On July 18, a 15-year-old girl walking along Seaside Road in Eastbourne was approached by a man demanding she hand over her possessions.
The man fled the scene empty-handed after a passer-by intervened, leaving the girl shaken but unharmed. It happened at around 9pm
A 57-year-old man from Eastbourne has now been arrested on suspicion of robbery. After being interviewed, he was released on bail under strict conditions.

Police are appealing for witnesses to assist with their enquiries.
A spokesman for the force said: “Anyone with information is asked to get in touch online or by calling 101 quoting serial 1411 of 18/07.
“Alternatively, information can be passed to police anonymously via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
