As fans of RuPaul’s Drag Race get stuck into the sixth series of the cult TV show, one contestant was spotted at a photoshoot in Brighton.
Rileasa Slaves, who is a contestant in the series which kicked off last week, chose Brighton's Royal Pavilion banqueting hall as the backdrop for a lavish photoshoot.
The 32-year-old hails from St Lucia and is a Rihanna-inspired drag performer.
She said: "I was collaborating on the shoot with a friend and photographer who recently moved to Brighton, Dean Ryan McDaid who suggested the venue.
"I'd always seen the Pavilion and often thought how random yet so Brighton. It was as if it were plucked from the East and slotted into the city. Given its history, it all just made sense that for this particular look.
"Where better to shoot something regal than in the halls of this historic building in a city that does things a little differently and is so free spirited. The staff were lovely and the tourists visiting were somewhat perplexed so I just pretended I was an actor and part of the tour experience welcoming them to my castle like any queen would."
