Recycling centres will switch to new opening hours next month as winter looms.

Centres across West Sussex will open from 9am until 4pm in new opening hours beginning in October while some centres will close for an additional day.

The changes come as part of a switch to autumn and winter opening times, West Sussex County Council have confirmed.

Full list of opening days for recycling centres:

  • Billingshurst - Monday to Wednesday, Saturday to Sunday
  • Bognor - Monday to Wednesday, Saturday to Sunday
  • Burgess Hill - Monday to Wednesday, Friday to Sunday
  • Chichester - Monday, Wednesday to Sunday
  • Crawley - Monday to Wednesday, Friday to Sunday
  • East Grinstead - Monday, Thursday to Sunday
  • Horsham - Monday, Thursday to Sunday
  • Littlehampton - Monday, Thursday to Sunday
  • Midhurst - Monday, Thursday to Sunday
  • Shoreham - Wednesday to Sunday
  • Worthing - Monday to Wednesday, Friday to Sunday

Centres will be closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.
