An Argus Camera Club photographer has captured an eclectic mix of animals during a recent outing.

Camera Club regular Suzi Sullivan enjoyed a day out at Tilgate Nature Centre in Crawley where she snapped a greater rhea, a species of flightless bird native to South America.

She also snapped a snoozing ferret, a slumbering Berkshire Pig and a ring-tailed lemur perched in a tree, with its very eye-catching tail dangling below it.

Also in the mix was an alert-looking meerkat and a wary-faced guinea-pig.

Tilgate is arranged roughly by geographical zones, showing where the majority of species in that area come from. There is an Americas zone, an Africa zone, a Madagascar zone, an Eurasia zone, an Australasia zone and a domestic zone.
